I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in MO with 20 years of experience. Education degrees are from Bradley University (BSW) and Washington University (MSW).
My time with clients includes a wide variety of ages and challenges; spent most with children through midlife. Those challenges often include the topics of parenting, depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, adjustments/challenges in school and other life changing situations.
When working with clients I strive to make the therapy experience genuine, positive, respectful, non-judgmental and safe. I believe that by talking and building a good rapport, I can help you identify and process as we figure out what plan and path is going to be most successful and obtainable for you.
My first goal is to make sure my clients feel heard and understood. We will work together to help you find and define a quantifiable goal. We then spend time to help guide you down the path of success. We can work together via email, text, phone or video calls and will be talking through what you feel is the challenge. We will use our time together to create a plan that will help you achieve your goal. This is accomplished by identifying and achieving success with your obtainable small goals that we have set together along your journey.
To my clients I consider myself a partner, cheerleader, and support system. I fully understand that the world we live in right now has made life extremely hard. Especially when considering the navigation of how to balance mental health, school, work, parenting, relationships and just life in general during the pandemic.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started! I am excited to meet you and work together to identify your goals and make plans to achieve them! YOU GOT THIS!
